I absolutely loved photographing this sweet couple recently! They wanted to do a gender reveal shoot, and the pink photo bomb was mama-to-be’s idea. The light was lovely, and their excitement was palpable! Here are some favorites from our (socially distanced) shoot last month.
What a strange year 2020 is turning out to be! I feel blessed to be able to fit in a few socially distanced shoots this Spring/Summer. We’d booked this one well before anyone had even heard of Covid, and I’m so glad they were still up for making it happen. Big brother couldn’t be happier, and it was a joy to capture this growing family!
These are definitely interesting times. While working from home with two kids has been challenging, it’s also been an incredible gift- of slowing down and spending time with the people I love. No one knows how long we’ll be at home like this, so we might as well embrace it fully! Obviously my shoots have come to a halt, but I did get to snap this sweet family just before the shut down. Enjoy!

I was so excited to wrap up this gallery for some sweet friends before the holidays. Isn’t this little fam just the cutest?!! They waited to find out the sex of their youngest, and I was so excited to hear that they’d been blessed with a girl after two boys (it’s so nice to have both!)! This has been a very busy season for me outside of photography, but I’ve managed to fit a few newborn sessions in lately, thank goodness! I’ve done several sessions with this adorable crew over the last few years, and it’s so fun to see their family grow. 🙂
Life has been a bit hectic lately, as I’ve started a new venture in my professional life that I am very excited about. That being said, I’m so grateful for this creative outlet and the lovely families I get to capture!! I did maternity photos for this sweet couple over the summer, and it’s so fun to come back to meet the “resulting” bundle of joy. Here are some favorites from our time together. I just love newborn shoots- give me all the babies!
I’ve had the pleasure of getting some snaps of this lovely bunch (who are our close friends) on a number of occasions over the last few years, and it’s so fun to watch their littles grow. I also get to see their favorite images on their walls when I come over which is a plus :). We were lucky enough to get some nice fall colors at our recent shoot, which isn’t always a given in Austin Texas. Here are some of my personal favorites.
I met this sweet family at a hidden gem in east Austin last month. When we got started, little brother wasn’t really feeling having this picture taken. I really appreciated how calm and collected mom and dad stayed even though he was resisting. Unfortunately getting upset with an uncooperative child is a quick way to get zero authentic smiles. Keeping things fun and playful is the best way to get everyone warmed up to the camera!
There is something so special about a couple expecting their first baby. The excitement, anticipation, and imagination of what is to come is palpable. I had the pleasure of photographing these two on a warm weekday evening, and magic was in the air! We were even blessed with some surprise flowers despite the dry summer.
