I had the pleasure of photographing a lovey couple at one of my favorites spots earlier this month. There was a gentle calmness between these two expecting parents, and mama was absolutely glowing! It was a warm, quiet evening at the greenbelt, and here are some images from our sunset shoot.
I was very excited to meet these two at Sekrit Theater for a maternity shoot a few weeks ago. This sweet couple absolutely glows with their excitement for the pending birth of their son, and it was such a pleasure to see them again after shooting their birth announcement earlier this year. This dreamy setting also didn’t disappoint! Here are some favorites from our shoot.
Last weekend I met this sweet family at the north-Austin home they moved into a month ago. They’ve been having a blast exploring the nearby trails, so they wanted to capture their family there. I’d never been to the site before, which can be tricky since I typically need to scout locations ahead of time. But Dad did an excellent job thinking things through, and he even sent me pictures from his morning hike! I didn’t realize quite what I was getting into – we literally hoofed it for 45 minutes into the woods! There were some lovely little nooks along the way, and these kids seemed right at home. Here are some favorites from our shoot.
The newest addition to this sweet little family made a dramatic entrance into this world, with a serious fever scare and stay in the NICU. Thank God everyone is doing well now!
Newborn shoots are some of my favorite. Parents are beaming, siblings are bright eyed and curious, and then there is that adorable new born! This little guy gave me lots of beautiful gazes, which is one of the reasons I like doing these shoots at a month or two old (rather than a few days old). I feel very blessed this year for the opportunity to help a number of families with their holiday portraits. This was my second time to shoot this sweet bunch, and their little guy definitely came ready for his close up! I can’t believe how much he’s grown up in the few short months since I did his first-birthday shots.
With their daughter’s first birthday right around the corner, I met this sweet little family to capture some fun images of them together. As a mother of two myself, I certainly have a special place in my heart for one-year-old’s and birthday celebrations!! The shoot of course wasn’t complete with out a cake to mash those precious little hands into. I think it’s safe to say she enjoyed it ;). Happy birthday little lady!

I met up with my dear friend and talented baker Angela Cruz last weekend for a little baking extravaganza! Her cookie designs via her business A Cup of Sugar have been delighting eyes and tastebuds in Austin for several years now.
